Multimedia artist and coordinator of the Digital Poetic Group (ECA – USP), Gilbertto Prado holds a PhD in Arts from the Paris I University – Panthéon Sorbonne. He was a professor at the Institute of Arts at Unicamp and a visiting professor at Paris 8 University. He is currently a professor at the Department of Plastic Arts of the School of Communication and Arts of the University of São Paulo (ECA-USP). His artistic production includes network art and interactive installations, exhibited in numerous exhibitions in Brazil and abroad, such as “Welcomet Mr. Halley” in 1985 in the Paço das Artes; ” A Terra e Seus Terráqueos” in 1988, at the São Paulo Creation Club, to the most recent exhibitions such as “Máquinas de Choque 1” in 2016. He published the book Arte Telemática in 2003, as well as several articles in magazines such as Leonardo, Liheia, ARS, Mots-Voir.
Gilbertto Prado has developed his research and his artistic activity in the area of art in network. His artistic and scientific production is recognized worldwide and has been awarded for several times.
