Brief CV: Ana Loureiro has a degree in New Communication Technologies (1998), a Master’s in Educational Multimedia (2006) as well as a PhD in Communication Sciences and Technology (2013) from the University of Aveiro. She has lectured at the Polytechnic Institute of Viseu and she is currently an Adjunct Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Santarém – School of Education. She has also been lecturing as a Visiting Adjunct Professor at Lisbon School of Education, in the in the field of Visual Arts, Technologies and Multimedia, since 2014. Her internationalization as a lecturer includes having served as an Instructor at the University of the People (Online Education Strategies course), and the invitations to lecture at the West University of Timisoara, in Romania and at the Mustafa Kemal University, in Antakya, Turkey, under the ERASMUS Teaching Staff Mobility programme. She has been a tutor at the Joint European Summer School on Technology Enhanced Learning since 2012.
Research Interests: distance education and Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL), immersive 3D virtual worlds, social media and web 2.0 tools for collaborative, cooperative and social learning and lifelong learning, information and digital literacy, content curation, educational technologies.
Over the past few years, she has coordinated and cooperated on several national and international projects, and has published a wide variety of peer reviewed articles.
