Brief CV: José Bidarra earned a PhD from Universidade Aberta, in the field of Educational Sciences, specializing in Educational Communication. He is currently a professor at this university, where he lectures several curricular units on a regular basis, mostly in the areas of digital narratives, multimedia and e-learning. In addition, he is the coordinator of the Informatics, Physics and Technology Section (SIFT) as well as a member of the Coordinating Council in the Department of Sciences and Technology (DCeT) at Universidade Aberta. He is also a member of the Coordinating Committee for the PhD in Digital Media-Art (DMAD), a partnership between Universidade Aberta and the University of Algarve.
Research Interests: His activities focus on the areas of e-learning, narratives, digital games and digital media. He is responsible for mentoring several Master’s and PhD theses. He frequently collaborates in transnational projects and occasionally provides consulting and vocational training services for several institutions.
