Tiago Cruz
Tiago Cruz studied Communication Design, Illustration, Digital Media Art and Teaching at the University Institute of Maia (ISMAI).
From 1998 to 2001 he attended the Performing Arts (Scenography, Costumes and Props) course at the Academia Contemporânea do Espetáculo (ACE – Porto), having worked with various directors such as António Capelo, Rogério de Carvalho, Paulo Castro and Alan Richardson. In 2006 she completed her degree in Multimedia Communication Technologies at the Instituto Universitário da Maia (ISMAI – Maia) with a monograph dissertation in the field of Interaction Design and Visual Semiotics entitled “IxD@web – Interaction Design: form, function and behavior in the web space”. In 2012 she completed her master’s degree in Communication in the Digital Age: Strategies, Industries and Messages at ISMAI, with research in the area of Communication/Visual Culture and Visual Semiotics, entitled “From the Private Sphere to the Public Sphere: the Graphic Diary as a Means of Expression and Visual Communication”. In 2018, she finished her PhD in Digital Media Art at the Universidade Aberta (UAb – Lisbon) and the Universidade do Algarve (UAlg – Faro), where she has developed artistic installations around the theme of landscape. In addition to teaching, he collaborates on research projects with the Arts and Communication Research Center (CIAC – UAlg/UAb) and maintains his activity as a Communication Designer and illustrator.
