Ana Carvalho promotes project: Intertwined Intelligences
CIAC researcher Ana Carvalho promotes the project: ‘INTELLIGENCES ENTRETECIDAS – ON ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND THE CONCEPT OF NATURE’, the graphic design was done by Irina Pereira.
Intertwined Intelligences is a field of research centred on artistic practice in which it proposes to reflect on the ways in which artificial intelligence alters the dominant concept of ‘nature’. In a collective and collaborative environment, through artistic experimentation, it will be possible to construct an intertwined, critical and necessarily complex vision of the relationship between technology and ecology.
The event aims to respond to the following objectives: to expand critical reflection on artificial intelligence, exploring the intersection between art, technology and ecology; to stimulate dialogue between artists and other interested audiences, through methodologies centred on the collective, seeking results that escape the arrival of immediate answers or conclusions; to contribute to a deeper understanding of the complex interactions between art, artificial intelligence and ‘nature’, encouraging research and ongoing reflection on the subject.
The first three sessions, lasting three hours (a, b, c), will be run by the invited people, together with a group of 15 to 20 participants (by registering here), until 2 April. Each session has a sub-theme or question as its starting point. The fourth session (d) will be a public conversation lasting approximately 2 hours between all the people invited, to present and discuss the previous sessions. This will be open to the public. It will take place on 5 and 6 April at the livraria Cassandra.
