Ana Soares takes part in the 16th International Congress of the Association of Researchers in Genetic Criticism
Ana Soares, CIAC researcher, is taking part in the 16th International Congress of the Association of Researchers in Genetic Criticism — Expanded Archive: connections and processes of creation.
The Association of Researchers in Genetic Criticism (APCG) is promoting its congress aimed at analysing and reflecting on the role of the expanded archive and its intersections with the creative process. The aim is to address the relationship between archive, record and creative practices in different areas and languages, such as cinema, theatre, music, visual arts, among others. They emphasise the different dimensions of the archive — public and private, personal and institutional — as well as its different materialities and modalities. They include research archives, artists’ archives and various forms of recording creative activities as a means of exploring the many facets and multimodal intersections in the creative process.
The Congress will take place between November 12th to 14th, 2024, at the Faculty of Philosophy, Letters, and Human Sciences of the University of São Paulo (Brazil), with the presentation of the paper entitled “Searching for an Artist: The personal archive as a portal to the creative process”.
Later, on November 15th, Ana Soares will give a lecture at Anhembi Morumbi University.
