António Costa Valente won an award at the Montecatini Short Film Festival
António Costa Valente, CIAC researcher and founder of the Cine Clube de Avanca, received the “Mobilità dei Giovani Europei Nei Festival Cinematografici” award in Venice, in recognition of his commitment to promoting emerging talent.
The distinction was awarded by the “Festival Internazionale del Cortometraggio di Montecatini” in Italy, the oldest active short film festival, in its 74th edition, promoted in collaboration with the Italian Directorate General for Cinema and Audiovisual and Cinecittà, and of which Costa Valente is a member of the jury. The Festival promotes cultural exchange between young Portuguese and Italian filmmakers.
Costa Valente is in Venice, where he is also a member of the Europa Cinemas Jury for the Film Festival’s “Giornate Degli Autori”, which is part of the Biennale di Venezia. The Venice Film Festival is celebrating its 81st edition this year.
