Bruno Mendes da Silva, deputy coordinator of CIAC, and Maria Potes Barbas, coordinator of IPSantarém’s CIAC Hub, are heading to Cartagena das Indias to take part in the MetaRed TIC 2024 Meeting.

On September 12 and 13, 2024, the annual face-to-face meeting of MetaRed TIC’s international research groups will be held at the Universidad Tecnológica de Bolívar in Cartagena de Indias (Colombia). These groups are mainly dedicated to the following areas: Educational Technologies, Cybersecurity, Digital Maturity Analysis, Provider Relations and ICT Women.

CIAC researchers participate as coordinators of the MetaRed TIC Portugal Research Groups. Bruno Mendes da Silva is currently the coordinator of the group dedicated to Educational Technologies, while researcher Maria Potes Barbas coordinates the Women in TIC group.

During the meeting there will be parallel meetings of different international working groups, joint sessions, presentations related to the themes of each of the groups and networking activities to encourage the exchange of experiences between the different participating countries.

The aim of this meeting is for the different working groups to be able to debate, prioritize and define collaborative projects at an international level to be carried out in 2025 and for these to have a positive impact on the digital transformation processes of Ibero-American Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).

The event is attended by all the research group coordinators from each of the national MetaRed TIC networks, who collaborate in the International Research Groups with their respective executive secretaries, as well as other specialist researchers who collaborate with the network.

MetaRed TIC is a collaborative network of Portuguese Higher Education Institutions to promote digital transformation.
