Bruno Mendes da Silva in interview on TDM – Teledifusão de Macau

Researcher and vice-coordinator of CIAC, Bruno Mendes da Silva, was interviewed on Frequência Académica, a radio show of TDM – Teledifusão de Macau, produced by the Department of Communication and Media of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University of São José – Macau (China).

Two interviews were conducted by José Manuel Simões, a professor at the University of São José, with the first of the two programs highlighting the journey of Bruno Mendes da Silva and CIAC – Research Center for Arts and Communication, particularly focusing on the activities carried out by this institution, research hubs and groups, and research lines.

In the second interview, Bruno Mendes da Silva introduced the project PROPS – Interactive Narratives Propose Pluralistic Discourse, an initiative he coordinates. In addition to a general presentation, this second moment also provided space to discuss different works, such as surveys conducted in Portuguese schools in Olhão, Loulé, and Lagos involving students between 12 and 18 years old, and three focus groups where testimonies and experiences of 19 young individuals were collected. Furthermore, attention was given to ongoing initiatives, such as the development of interactive narratives by various researchers in the project. These endeavors are designed to cultivate a more positive online environment for younger players.

The interviews took place on January 12, as part of an invitation from TDM Radio – Teledifusão de Macau to Bruno Mendes da Silva, researcher and the vice-coordinator of CIAC.
