CIAC researchers take part in the 3rd SePEx at the University of Três Corações, Brazil
CIAC researchers Patrícia Dourado (CAIC-UAlg) and Isabel Cristina Carvalho (CIAC-UAb) took part as invited speakers in the opening session of the 3rd SePEx – Research and Extension Seminar, organised by the University of Três Corações (UninCor), in Minas Gerais, Brazil.
The opening panel, entitled “Rethinking Teaching, Research and Outreach at National and International Levels”, also featured Ana Paula Varela Afonso, from Universidade Aberta, and brought together specialists from different institutions to reflect on the challenges and opportunities of articulating higher education, scientific research and university outreach in both national and international contexts.
The participation of CIAC researchers in this international event highlights the recognition of the work developed in the fields of arts and communication research, as well as the importance of academic cooperation between Portuguese and Brazilian institutions.
SePEx – Research and Extension Week is an academic event that brings together students, lecturers and researchers, promoting the exchange of knowledge through lectures, workshops and the presentation of scientific papers. Its main goal is to strengthen the integration between research and outreach activities, underlining their role in professional training and community development.
The 2025 edition took place from 1 to 3 December, establishing itself as a privileged forum for interdisciplinary dialogue and for the promotion of good practices in higher education.
