Duarte Baltazar will be addressing the Seminar on Communication Sciences about Journalism


The next Communication Sciences Seminar, dedicated to Journalism, will be led by Duarte Baltazar, a journalist at RTP. The session will take place on May 14th at 14:30 in the Paulo Freire Auditorium (room 67) at the School of Education and Communication, University of Algarve.

Duarte Baltazar holds a degree in Communication Sciences from the University of Algarve and has been a journalist at RTP since 2015. He works in television and radio, covering news in the Algarve region, and has a particular interest in reporting on environmental issues. His journalistic work has received several awards, including the Fernando de Sousa Journalism Award, presented by the Representation of the European Commission in Portugal. This session, open to the entire community, is part of the Journalism and Editorial Production course of the Communication Sciences degree at UAlg.

The Communication Sciences Seminar Series is an initiative that has been developing over the past few years, in collaboration with professionals and the community. The sessions are promoted by researchers from the Communication Sciences working group at CIAC, who are also faculty members in the undergraduate Communication Sciences and master’s Digital Media Communication programs at ESEC-UAlg.
