Gabriela Borges to Speak at Event on Media Education
Gabriela Borges has been invited as a speaker at the 5th AMI – TIDD/PUC – UNESCO – Global MIL Week 2025, taking place on 18 and 27 November at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (Brazil).
The CIAC professor and researcher will present her latest work on “Pop Pedagogy in the Promotion of Media Literacy” on the 18th. The event focuses on the intersections between media and information literacy (MIL) and artificial intelligence (AI), exploring how AI is reshaping the information landscape and how MIL is essential for empowering individuals to critically engage with AI-generated content. The meeting will also highlight projects and initiatives related to media and information literacy for all.
The event will be held online. Participants will receive a certificate, registration is free and can be completed (here).
