Jean Paul Bucchieri participates in “The Legacy of Robert Wilson” Conference
Jean Paul Bucchieri, a researcher at CIAC, will remotely participate in the international conference “The Legacy of Robert Wilson”, which will take place from August 5 to 9, 2024, at the Martin E. Segal Theatre Center in New York City.
Bucchieri will present his talk “Watching from Outside > Working from Inside” on Wednesday, August 7, at 11:00 AM (NY time – 4:00 PM Portugal time), which will be streamed on HowlRound.com. His presentation will focus on his personal experiences during the years he collaborated with director Robert Wilson.
During his talk, Bucchieri will explore the importance of being constantly prepared without knowing what will happen next, an operative concept he discussed throughout rehearsals with Wilson. He will also share his insights on the relationship between time and light in theater, as well as the ability to listen to silence and emptiness—key characteristics of Wilson’s work.
Jean Paul Bucchieri’s participation in this conference underscores the significance and impact of Robert Wilson’s legacy in the world of theater.
