Mirian Tavares and Jorge Santos publish article in Rhinocervs journal

Mirian Tavares, deputy coordinator of CIAC, and Jorge Santos, her doctoral supervisee in Digital Media-Art, have published an article titled “Fiction, Reality and Digital Media Art: Curatorship as a Tool for Awareness in Sports” in Rhinocervs (vol. 2, no. 1, 2025).

In the article, they discuss the role of activist curatorship as a tool for reflection and social transformation. Through the analysis of a curatorial project, they aim to demonstrate how integrating exhibition narratives with digital art can help promote gender equality in sports. The text also explores the role of museums as communication media, the intersection between gender equality and digital media-art, and the impact of digital technologies on immersive narratives.
