Mirian Tavares gives open lecture to the Cinema and Audiovisual course

There will be an open class for the Cinema and Audiovisual course in partnership with CIAC — Research Center for Arts and Communication, The activity will take place in the Cine Benjamin Abrahão room at the Casa Amarela Eusélio Oliveira (Federal University of Ceará), in Brazil.

The class will screen Pedro Almodóvar’s Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown (Spain, 1988, 90min), a film that tells the story of three women who experience serial misadventures involving their men, and is considered a classic of the 80s by director Pedro Almodóvar. Followed by a debate with Mirian Nogueira Tavares, UAlg professor and CIAC coordinator, the initiative will be mediated by Maria Inês Dieuzeide, professor in Cinema and Audiovisual at the Federal University of Ceará (UFC).

The open class takes place next Thursday, September 5th, from 7pm to 10pm.
