Mirian Tavares Participates in Inaugural Talk as Part of the Curatorial Project ‘Art at Tivoli Marina de Vilamoura: A Continuous Story
Mirian Tavares, vice-coordinator of CIAC, participates in the inaugural conversation of the new curatorial project “Art at Tivoli Marina de Vilamoura: A Continuous Story.
This project, developed by curator Ana Goulão, aims to highlight the artistic collection of the Tivoli Marina de Vilamoura Hotel, featuring works by artists such as José de Guimarães, Vieira da Silva, Fernando Conduto, and João Cutileiro. The project positions art as a central element of the hotel’s identity since its founding in 1987, reinforcing its connection to culture, hospitality, and memory.
The conversation, moderated by Ana Goulão, will feature the participation of:
- José de Guimarães, artist represented in the collection, or a representative from the Centro Internacional de Artes José de Guimarães (CIAJG);
- Mirian Tavares, researcher in aesthetics, cinema, and contemporary artistic mediation;
- Paula Catarino, collaborator of the hotel since its early years and a key figure in the preservation of the collection.
The event will take place on June 18 at the Tivoli Marina de Vilamoura, marking the launch of the project’s public program, which includes guided tours, curatorial texts, exhibitions, and artistic mediation activities accessible to all audiences.
