Mirian Tavares to take part in the 1st Algarve Meeting: Relational Psychoanalysis
On 12th october, Mirian Tavares, coordinator and researcher at CIAC, will take part in the 1st Algarve Meeting: Relational Psychoanalysis.
The event, organised by Ana Teresa Martins, Associate Professor at the Department of Psychology and Educational Sciences (DPCE) of the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences (FCHS) of the University of Algarve, in partnership with the Association of Relational Psychoanalysis (PsiRelacional), aims to enrich the psychoanalysis scene in the region and will be attended by experts in the field, providing a unique opportunity for sharing and learning.
Mirian Tavares and Hélder Chambel will be at the pre-opening, at 9:20 am, inaugurating the exhibition My Own Witness: Ruptures and Repair, by Donna Bassin. Then, at 10 am, the event will be opened by the rector of the University of the Algarve, Paulo Águas. Afterwards, there will be a lecture by Professor Manuel Matos, one of the leading figures in the field, followed by two round tables and three workshops organised by other renowned psychoanalysts. The day will end with a convivial dinner.
The venue for the event will be the Teresa Gamito Auditorium at the University of Algarve, building 1, Gambelas Campus.
Participation is free, but registration is required.
