Pedro Alves da Veiga to present seminar on performative temporality


Next Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 10:00 (BR)/14:00 (PT), Pedro Alves da Veiga, researcher at CIAC, will deliver the seminar “Performative Temporality: Generative Art as Poetics and Investigative Practice of Multimodal Memory”.

Holding a PhD in Digital Media Art from the University of Algarve and Open University, Pedro Alves da Veiga is an artist, researcher, and assistant professor at Open University in Lisbon, where he also serves as Deputy Director of the PhD Program in Digital Media Art. In addition to being a member of CIAC (in partnership with the CIC – Communication, Image and Contemporaneity research group), he collaborates with ID+ (Research Institute in Design, Media and Culture) and takes part in projects at the intersection of art, science, and technology, as well as digital media art curatorship. His artistic practice includes assemblage, generative creative coding, and digital audiovisuals. He has exhibited his work in solo and group exhibitions in Portugal, Brazil, Spain, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Romania, Russia, China, South Korea, Thailand, and the USA.

The event will take place online as part of the Advanced Seminars promoted by the Graduate Program in Communication and Languages (PPGCom) at Universidade Tuiuti do Paraná, in partnership with CIAC and the CIC research group, coordinated by Prof. Denize Araújo.
