Presentation of the José Louro Award – New Dramaturgies held on October 16
On October 16, 2025, the ceremony for the 1st edition of the José Louro Award – New Dramaturgies took place at Teatro das Figuras, in Faro.
The jury, chaired by Ana Clara Santos, CIAC researcher, awarded 1st Prize to the play Petróleo, written by Inês Filipe, and granted an Honourable Mention to the play Um Editor à procura de Autor, by Afonso Lages.
The event was supported by CIAC, in partnership with the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences of the University of Algarve, ACTA – The Algarve Theatre Company, the Municipality of Faro, and the CET – Theatre Studies Centre of the University of Lisbon, with sponsorship from Grupo Rolear and Metalofarense.
