‘Research in communication and digital media’ will be the theme of the next Communication Sciences Seminar
The next Communication Sciences Seminar, with the theme ‘Research in communication and digital media’, will be held on 9 April at 6.30pm in the Paulo Freire Amphitheatre, ESEC, on the Penha Campus of the University of the Algarve.
The event will feature five presentations: Ana Perfeito, with the theme ‘Composing a linear narrative in a live cinema performance through untouchable interactivity: Representing a lucid dream’; Filipe Bernardo, with ‘Quartel Virtual: Uma visita aos bombeiros de Portimão’; Jorge Carrega will present ‘Espólios e coleções como objeto de investigação: Projeto Curate’, followed by ‘A imagetização da tipografia em ambientes immersivos digitais como mediação da experiência de leitura’, by Nuno Martins. Susana Costa will close with a presentation of ‘IN[The Hate Booth]: Containing hate speech in games and digital communities through citizenship and digital literacy’.
The seminar is organised as part of the Project Design course of the Master’s Degree in Communication and Digital Media.
The Communication Sciences Seminar Cycle is an initiative that has been developed in recent years in conjunction with professionals and the community. The sessions are organised by researchers from CIAC’s Communication Sciences working group, who teach on ESEC-UAlg’s undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and master’s degree in Communication and Digital Media.
