CIAC’s Rotura Journal achieves Q1 Ranking in Scopus
Rotura – Journal of Communication, Culture and Arts, the scientific publication of the Research Center for Arts and Communication (CIAC), has achieved a Q1 ranking in Scopus, one of the world’s leading international databases for indexing and evaluating academic journals. This metric, obtained in one of its subject areas, places Rotura among the highest-impact and highest-quality journals in the international scientific landscape.
Created in 2021, the journal has established itself as a space for reflection and dissemination of research in the fields of arts, communication, and culture. Based on an open-access model and a rigorous editorial policy, Rotura follows a double-blind peer-review system and maintains no publication or access fees, ensuring openness and transparency throughout the scientific process.
For CIAC, reaching a Q1 position marks an important milestone, reflecting the work carried out by the editorial team, the contributions of authors, and the commitment of reviewers. This recognition strengthens the credibility of the research produced at the centre and enhances the international visibility of its activities.
