Rosa Domínguez’s CIAC research stay comes to an end

Rosa Domínguez Martín, a professor at the International University of Valencia (Spain), ended her research stay at CIAC on 28 March.

During her stay she taught several seminars: ‘Social networks: information or disinformation?’; ‘The private or publicised use of social networks. A view from education’; “Emotional wellbeing and mental health: Burnout syndrome”. Together with Olivia Novoa Fernández, she carried out research into the profiles of influencers in education and languages, comparing Spain and Portugal.

As a result of this research, on 20 March Olivia Novoa Fernández and Rosa Domínguez Martín presented the paper ‘Languages and Instagram: critical analysis of Spanish and Portuguese educational profiles’ at the VI COMRED – International Conference on Communication and Networks in the Information Society, held at the University of Seville.

The result was also published under the title ‘Education and languages on Instagram: 1000 influencers in Spain and Portugal’ in the journal Visual Review -International Visual Culture Review. Rosa’s profile on VIU.
