Sílvia Quinteiro was awarded in the FUNDEP/IEAT Chair Program
Sílvia Quinteiro, a researcher at CIAC, has been awarded funding from the FUNDEP Chair Program – Fundação de Apoio da UFMG (Federal University of Minas Gerais) and IEAT – Instituto de Estudos Avançados Transdisciplinares (Institute of Advanced Transdisciplinary Studies).
This funding program aims to “encourage the internationalization of transdisciplinary knowledge by enabling internationally renowned researchers to develop academic partnerships with researchers and research groups within UFMG. The chairs allow experienced researchers, with a solid background and international renown, to stay at the university for periods ranging from seven to sixty days. The objective is to stimulate and induce studies at the interfaces of disciplines, combining research on cutting-edge topics through innovative approaches with transdisciplinary potential”.
From June 26th to July 10th, the researcher will be at UFMG to participate in a series of activities, notably the Grand Conference “Words that Draw Places: The Power of Narrative in the Construction of Tourist Destinations”, which will take place on June 27th.
