E-book “Perspectivas Luso-Brasileiras em Artes e Comunicação — Volume 4” now available

CIAC – Research Centre for Arts and Communication announces the publication of Perspectivas Luso-Brasileiras em Artes e Comunicação — Volume 4, an e-book that continues the collection created to foster scientific exchange between researchers from Portugal and Brazil.

This edition results from a collaboration between CIAC – Research Centre for Arts and Communication (University of Algarve), the research group Comunicação, Memória e Cultura Popular from the Universidade Estadual da Paraíba (Brazil), and CIC — Comunicação, Imagem e Contemporaneidade, a research group at the Universidade Tuiuti do Paraná (Brazil). The volume is edited by Ingrid Fechine, Jorge Carrega, and Denize Araujo.

Divided into two parts, the e-book comprises 368 pages and brings together contributions from Portuguese and Brazilian researchers in the fields of arts, communication, technology, and cinema. The topics addressed include: the use and creation of technological images; video games as tools to combat online hate speech; clip-poems and multimedia poetry; film production and adaptation; and the creative process in contemporary artistic practices.

Perspectivas Luso-Brasileiras em Artes e Comunicação — Volume 4 offers a broad reflection on artistic practices in cinema, visual arts, theatre, and the intersections between art and digital media, reinforcing the role of academic research in critical analysis and in promoting Luso-Brazilian culture.
