University of Maia and CIAC organise event on multimedia art
On April 21, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., ArtLab will take place. The event will be held in the main auditorium of the University of Maia, with free admission.
The result of a partnership between the undergraduate programmes in Multimedia Art and Multimedia Communication Technologies at the University of Maia and the CIAC hub at the same institution, ArtLab is an event designed to bring together artists from various fields of multimedia art to share knowledge and promote the exchange of ideas.
The event explores the relationship between artistic practice and the research process, addressing both concrete creation and more abstract approaches. Participants will have the opportunity to attend presentations that stimulate critical thinking and creativity. The areas covered include digital art, sound and sound design, video art, and sustainability.
Among the invited guests are CIAC researchers Tiago Cruz, Fernando Paulino, and Anna Petracca.
