Visual Arts Cycle welcomes photographer João Mariano
On Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 3:00 p.m., the Visual Arts Cycle will host photographer João Mariano. The session will take place in Building 14 of FCHS, in the Postgraduate Room, with free admission.
A photographer, editor, and art director, João Mariano lives and works between Aljezur and Lisbon. Co-founder and art director of the agency 1000olhos – Imagem e Comunicação, he has, over the years, developed a strong professional passion for book-making: both his own publications and those resulting from the work of 1000olhos’ clients. He is also deeply interested in concept creation, team building (bringing together specialists in each thematic area of a project), and in overseeing and supervising graphic design processes. In addition, he has been developing a series of projects in southern Portugal. In his view, the book as a physical object will always endure.
