The CHIMERA Project – Innovative cultural and creative clusters in the MED area is headed by the Italian institution ‘Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia’ and has several international members: Region of Basilicata (IT); Puglia Creative Cluster Association (IT); Technology Park Ljubljana Ltd. (SL); Empresa Municipal de Iniciativas y Actividades Empresariales de Málaga S.A. -PROMÁLAGA- (SP); Terrassa Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services (SP); Region of Sterea Ellada (GR); Nice Côte d’Azur Chamber of Commerce (FR); University of Nice Sophia Antipolis (FR); Ministry of Innovation and Public Administrations (G) and the University of the Algarve. Researchers Mirian Tavares, Bruno Mendes da Silva and Filipa Cerol are part of the UAlg/CIAC team.

This project is supported by the Interreg-Mediterranean Programme, in priority axis 1: Promoting innovation capacities in the Mediterranean to develop smart and sustainable growth, with specific objective 1.1: To increase the transnational activity of innovative clusters and networks of key sectors of the MED area.

The main aim of ChIMERA is to improve the innovation capacities of public and private players in the cultural and creative industries sector in the participating regions and in the Mediterranean region, by strengthening transnational cooperation and ties between companies, research organisations and public authorities in key sectors in the Mediterranean region.
