The ‘Os Caminhos que Bifurcam’ [‘The Forking Paths’] project is coordinated by researcher Bruno Mendes da Silva. The project was started in 2013 as part of the researcher’s postdoctoral research, with the aim of fostering the creation and hosting of interactive films of different genres, origins and typologies, enabling a serious contribution to the evolution of the audiovisual language, as well as reflection, through creative practice, on interactive cinema.
‘Os Caminhos que Bifurcam’ focuses in particular on the development of the relationship between the viewer and the narrative, intended to be increasingly active and participatory. The films, resulting from the narrative experiences undertaken within the scope of this project, have been screened at various national and international film festivals.
