We are pleased to present the Creation Processes collection, a result of the collaboration between the CIAC – Research Center for Arts and Communication, of the University of Algarve, and the Research Group on Creation Processes, from the Post-Graduate Program in Communication and Semiotics at PUC-SP – Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo.
We highlight the importance of the theme that brings these books together – the creation processes – a topic that is increasingly present in contemporary artistic discussions. At the same time, we emphasize the originality of the publications, in a field where a bibliography in Portuguese is sparse.
The books in the collection are the result of the interaction between these purposes, offering a very thought-provoking panorama of Contemporary Art. These are artistic projects that emphatically explore the expansion of creation archives, with regard to the spaces they come to occupy and the consequent dilution of boundaries between process and work, which call for the theoretical look of process criticism.
