This festival is dedicated to exhibitions, performances, talks, workshops and demonstrations of projects and companies, involving specialists in the fields of art, technology, and innovation. According to Pedro Veiga, this is a space where &#8220;learning and knowledge sharing&#8221; is promoted, as well as acting as a platform that stimulates collaborations and future synergies between artists, designers, technologists, and representatives of partner organisations, providing visibility for emerging and established artists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On &#8220;Generative Art: there is generativity beyond artificial intelligence&#8221;, the researcher emphases that this art form has &#8220;autonomy in the face of recent advances in Artificial Intelligence&#8221; and highlights its &#8220;historical and pre-computational roots&#8221;. The term &#8220;generative art&#8221; refers, explains Pedro Veiga, to creative processes in which the work of art is developed, partially or totally, by an autonomous system. This system follows rules or parameters defined by the artist, allowing creation to take place without direct intervention after the initial programming. Although &#8220;artificial intelligence&#8221; is currently closely associated with the term &#8220;generative&#8221;, Veiga recalls that the concept of digital generative art is older, dating back to the 1960s, and that figures such as Georg Nees and Vera Molnar were pioneers in the use of computers to create art, marking a crucial moment in the development of modern digital art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the end, some of Veiga&#8217;s most significant works will be presented. He develops complex computer systems and explores characteristics such as interaction, controlled randomness and audiovisual remixing.
