Conceived by <strong>Paulo Teixeira Pinto<\/strong>, the project aims to <strong>preserve industrial heritage<\/strong> while transforming it into a <strong>dynamic centre for artistic creation and experimentation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before its inauguration, the museum operated <strong>without a physical venue<\/strong>, organising <strong>exhibitions, debates, and training activities<\/strong> across the Algarve, while building partnerships with institutions such as the <strong>University of Algarve<\/strong>, the <strong>Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation<\/strong>, and <strong>Ars Electronica<\/strong> in Linz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Curated by <strong>F\u00e1tima Marques Pereira<\/strong>, the opening was designed as a kind of <strong>\u201cRenaissance workshop\u201d<\/strong>, where <strong>artistic practice and research intersect<\/strong>. The <strong>artist residencies<\/strong>, along with spaces such as the <strong>FabLab<\/strong>, <strong>immersive room<\/strong>, and <strong>sound studio<\/strong>, reinforce the concept of a <strong>\u201cliving workshop\u201d<\/strong>, focused on <strong>digital experimentation<\/strong> and <strong>connection to the local territory<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The inaugural programme includes <strong>installations and performances<\/strong> by artists such as <strong>Lu\u00eds Fernandes<\/strong>, <strong>Maotik + Mina Mohseni<\/strong>, and <strong>Francisca Rocha Gon\u00e7alves<\/strong>, among others. Visitors can also explore <strong>3D projections<\/strong> dedicated to architect <strong>Manuel Gomes da Costa<\/strong> and <strong>technological experiences<\/strong> that reconstruct the history of the former silos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Presided over by <strong>Jo\u00e3o Correia Vargues<\/strong>, <strong>Museu Zer0<\/strong> establishes itself as a <strong>landmark in the Portuguese contemporary
