In 2021, we (re)existed in the face of the unknown and deadly coronavirus. In 2022, the Association reinforced its presence through research and artistic exhibitions that, even in an online format, proved to be challenging, powerful, sensitive, and creative. In 2023, envisioning hopes of restoring the dignity of academic research in and about the visual arts throughout Brazil, reflections were encouraged on how these forms of life \u2014 artistic and aesthetic \u2014 build and reveal themselves through their autobiographical narratives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mirian Tavares was also an invited speaker, delivering the opening lecture at the 2023
