This initiative brings together researchers, directors, and actors to reflect on the challenges of interpreting and updating Marivaux\u2019s theatre. The event is co-organized by <strong>CIAC<\/strong>, in partnership with leading national and international institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The colloquium is part of the international project <strong>S<\/strong>EM (Sc\u00e8nes Europ\u00e9ennes et extra-europ\u00e9ennes Marivaux), directed by Paola Ranzini within a research program of the Institut Universitaire de France, and is supported by the Association Portugaise d\u2019\u00c9tudes Fran\u00e7aises (APEF) and the Institut Fran\u00e7ais du Portugal. Local organization is shared among the Centre for Theatre Studies, University of Lisbon (CET\/FLUL), ACT School, CIAC\/University of Algarve, and \u00c9cole Nationale Sup\u00e9rieure des Arts et Techniques du Th\u00e9\u00e2tre (ENSATT).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The colloquium program is structured into thematic sessions and roundtables, taking place at Recreios da Amadora (June 30) and the Faculty of Arts, University of Lisbon (July 1). The event opens with stage presentations by students from ENSATT (Lyon) and ACT School (Lisbon), followed by a roundtable with theatre professionals including Michel Cerda, Sofia de Portugal, Jos\u00e9 Peixoto, and Galin Sto\u00ebv. On the second day, academic presentations will address topics such as Marivauxan acting, actor training, contemporary mise-en-sc\u00e8ne, and the reception of Marivaux\u2019s work in international contexts including France, Greece, Poland, Japan, and Switzerland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The colloquium proposes, among other themes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Revisiting Marivaux\u2019s conception of the actor\u2019s performance;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Investigating how this legacy influences the adaptation of his work in contemporary productions;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Exploring the role of Marivaux\u2019s theatre in actor training across different countries.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The event\u2019s scientific committee includes specialists from several universities, such as Sorbonne Universit\u00e9, Universit\u00e9 de Sherbrooke, Universit\u00e9 de Messina, Universit\u00e9 de Varsovie, Universit\u00e9 de Lyon 2, among others. Among the members of the organizing committee, CIAC researcher Ana Clara Santos stands out, collaborating with Maria Jo\u00e3o Brilhante, Paola Ranzini, and Catherine
