open for the 3rd International Conference on Creative Processes<\/h2>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-post-date\"><time datetime=\"2026-06-26T18:33:08+01:00\">26\/06\/2026<\/time><\/div>\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>CIAC \u2013 Research Centre in Arts and Communication invites artists and researchers to submit proposals for the <strong>3rd International Conference on Creative Processes<\/strong>, which will take place from <strong>2 to 4 December 2026<\/strong> at the <strong>University of Algarve<\/strong> (Gambelas Campus, Faro), in a hybrid format.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Organised in partnership with the <strong>Research Group on Creative Processes of PUC-SP<\/strong>, this edition focuses on the theme <strong>\u201cResearch Methodologies in Creative Processes\u201d<\/strong>, promoting reflection on theoretical and practical approaches to the study of creative processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The conference provides an interdisciplinary space for dialogue between artists and researchers, dedicated to the analysis of creative processes in their multiple dimensions, encompassing practices, materialities, methods, and languages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2019, the collaboration between CIAC and PUC-SP has resulted in several initiatives, including the <strong>CIAC Creative Processes Collection<\/strong>, the international conference, and academic training programmes in the field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Drawing on theoretical contributions such as those of <strong>Cecilia Salles<\/strong>, who proposed a transversal approach to the study of creative processes, the conference seeks to embrace different methodologies and perspectives, encouraging the sharing of experiences, challenges, and research outcomes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Submission of Proposals<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Abstracts are invited on the conference theme, as well as on related topics, including, but not limited to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Theories of artistic creation and their poetics<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Materialities and procedures of creation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reception, co-creation, and participatory practices<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contemporary experimentation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Transdisciplinarity and creative processes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Culture, memory, and archives of creation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Research poetics<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ethics and politics of creation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Accounts of creative processes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Decolonial and anti-racist creative and research practices<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sustainability and ecologies of creation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Literacy, educational practices, and creative processes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Creative processes and AI tools<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Digital and generative poetics, and hacker practices<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Artivism and digital artivism practices<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Feminism, gender, and intersectionality in creative processes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Abstracts should be between <strong>200 and 300 words<\/strong> and must be submitted via the <strong>Submission Form<\/strong> by <strong>30 July 2026<\/strong>* through the Conference website (coming soon).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(*<em>Researchers who require a letter of acceptance before the final submission deadline due to funding application class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Thematic Panels (up to five speakers)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Creative Process Archive Exhibitions (associated with a paper or panel)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Workshop Proposals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Following acceptance notifications, speakers must confirm their participation through the Speaker Registration Form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul
