The work refers to the so-called &#8220;tax on vice&#8221;, introduced by the Marquis of Pombal to support the establishment of secular schools after the expulsion of the Jesuits, highlighting the role of rhetoric in shaping new forms of discourse and social organisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By bringing together different historical periods and experiences, Ricardo Cruzes and Mirian Tavares present an artistic proposal that combines personal and historical memories, exploring art as a space for reflection and dialogue across different experiences, times, and meanings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The exhibition is supported by the Municipality of Faro and CIAC \u2013 Research Centre for Arts and Communication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The exhibition will be open until<strong> 22 August<\/strong> at Associa\u00e7\u00e3o 289, located at Rua Dra. Mariana Am\u00e9lia Machado Santos, Lote 1, Faro. It can be visited on Thursdays and Fridays from <strong>3 p.m. to 7 p.m.<\/strong>, and on Saturdays from <strong>10 a.m. to 2
