The project seeks to understand how experiences, relationships, and historical differences between women from Portuguese-speaking African countries and Black Brazilian women contribute to the construction of the common within the urban space of Coimbra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Drawing on L\u00e9lia Gonzalez&#8217;s concept of\u00a0<em><strong>amefricanidade<\/strong><\/em>, in dialogue with the theoretical perspectives of \u00c9douard Glissant and Jacques Ranci\u00e8re, the study examines the Afro-Luso-Brazilian common as a relational process shaped by encounters, tensions, and differences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The interactive documentary\u00a0<em><strong>Nzila<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0uses co-creation practices, including shared walks and the collection of audiovisual, sound, and narrative materials, organised into georeferenced routes. Its interactive navigation allows users to explore the materials through different spatial, thematic, and narrative dimensions, without a fixed hierarchy, highlighting the diverse experiences and tensions between participants within the urban space of Coimbra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At this stage, the research is still in development, with a pilot project involving two participants. This initial phase explores the potential and limitations of interactive documentary as a tool for memory, representation, and co-creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>About the researcher<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Gabriella Fontes Leite<\/strong> is a PhD candidate in Digital Media Art at the University of Algarve. She holds a degree in Architecture and Urbanism from UNEF (2020) and a Master&#8217;s degree in Integrated Urban Rehabilitation from the University of Coimbra (2023). Her research brings together digital media art, spatial justice, decoloniality, and intersectionality, with a particular focus on the experiences of migrant women and women of African descent in urban contexts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She is also the co-author of an article published in the journal\u00a0<strong><em>CIDADES, Comunidades e Territ\u00f3rios<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>(2025) and has conducted research on women&#8217;s mobility in Strasbourg and Coimbra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator alignwide
