In this book, one can observe a genuine revisiting of a territory that, although not vast, is heterogeneous both in its physical geography (composed of mountains, \u2018barrocal\u2019 and coastline) as well as its human geography\u2014in the unavoidable distinction between people of the mountains, people of the sea, people of the countryside, people of the city, and visitors (travelers and tourists).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Cartographya&nbsp;<\/em>takes the reader on a path to explore the Algarve: setting off from Alcoutim and heading to Sagres. This \u2018book of landscapes\u2019 is a precious contribution to the construction of a literary cartography of the region.
