{"id":2753,"date":"2023-12-20T07:27:46","date_gmt":"2023-12-20T07:27:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/web.ciac.pt\/?p=2753"},"modified":"2023-12-20T07:27:48","modified_gmt":"2023-12-20T07:27:48","slug":"iheritage-ict-mediterranean-platform-for-unesco-cultural-heritage","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ciac.pt\/en\/projects\/iheritage-ict-mediterranean-platform-for-unesco-cultural-heritage\/","title":{"rendered":"iHERITAGE ICT \u2013 Mediterranean Platform for UNESCO Cultural Heritage"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>CIAC researchers joined the international consortium to bring together cultural heritage thought technology.<br>CIAC professors and researchers, Mirian Tavares and Bruno da Silva, are part of the team from University of Algarve (UAlg) in the project \u201ciHERITAGE ICT Mediterranean platform for UNESCO cultural heritage\u201d, with the researchers from CIMA and CinTurs. The project led by the Italian partner Regione Siciliana \u2013 Assessorato del Turismo, dello Sport e dello Spettacolo, in the case of Algarve, seeks to improve, though augmented reality based on immersive technology, the visits to Humanity\u2019s cultural heritage, recognized by UNESCO in the Mediterranean. UAlg has the Mediterranean Diet as a heritage element.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This application, approved for funding, aims to improve and disseminate new technologies in cultural visits in Mediterranean areas, based on Humanity\u2019s cultural heritage places, in a proposal that unites around heritage, countries such as Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Spain and Portugal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I-Heritage is an application to the \u201cEni Cbc Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme 2014-2020\u201d, program for strategical proposals in the area of innovation and knowledge transfer, in the priority axis: A.2.1. Support technological transfer and commercialisation of research results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The total amount of European funding approved for the project is around 3.5 million euros. 198 projects applied for this call, but only 22 will have European funding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The team from UAlg includes researchers from three research centres. Led by Alexandra Rodrigues, director of The School of Management, Hospitality and Tourism (ESGHT) and researcher at the Research Centre for Tourism, Sustainability and Well-being (CINTurs), it also has Mauro Figueiredo, professor at the Institute of Engineering (ISE) and researcher at the Centre for Marine and Environmental Research (CIMA), Miran Tavares, professor at the Faculty of Human Social Sciences (FCHS) and researcher at the Research Centre in Arts and Communication (CIAC), and Bruno Silva, professor at the School of Education and Communication (ESEC) and also a researcher at CIAC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Algarve Tourism Region is an Associated partner.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CIAC researchers joined the international consortium to bring together cultural heritage thought<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_eb_attr":"","inline_featured_image":false,"advgb_blocks_editor_width":"","advgb_blocks_columns_visual_guide":"","footnotes":"","_links_to":"","_links_to_target":""},"categories":[63],"tags":[116,70],"class_list":["post-2753","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-projects","tag-international-project","tag-ongoing"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 -
