All students need teachers who are linguistically sensitive and responsive. Despite the existing research and the tools developed for teachers, it is difficult to change the policies and practices of the monolingual framework in schools. The LISTiac<\/a> (Linguistically Sensitive Teaching in All Classrooms) project aims to contribute to a change in teachers’ cognition, training and professional development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to ensure that all pupils in Europe have the same conditions for achieving their well-being and educational success, LISTiac proposes, through the integration of multilingual pedagogies, the renewal of the initial teacher training curriculum and the provision of complementary training for in-service teachers. Aiming for educational change at various levels and targets (mainly in-service and in-training teachers), the project develops and experiments with a theoretical reflection tool for language-sensitive teaching, with a positive vision of students’ multilingual resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By supporting and empowering the school community with multilingual pedagogies, it is intended that (future) teachers will be more linguistically sensitive in their beliefs, attitudes and actions in the classroom.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
