The moderation will be led by Silvia Viegas (CIAC\/UAlg).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This webinar, organized by CIAC\/UAlg in collaboration with Universidad Loyola, aims to delve into the complexities of power dynamics and epistemic injustice in collaborative governance and social exclusion contexts. Drawing on various research compiled for a doctoral thesis presentation, the talk highlights how contemporary theories of power, particularly Miranda Fricker&#8217;s epistemic injustice, are applied and revealed in specific case studies, such as the Barrio de las Palmeras in C\u00f3rdoba, Spain. It explores how power dynamics manifest in collaborative governance and how epistemic injustice is expressed in these environments. The initiative critically discusses how power dynamics impact social transformation processes in severe exclusion contexts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Participants in this webinar will have the opportunity to provide constructive feedback, fostering a rich and deep dialogue on critical issues in the social sciences. Additionally, the webinar serves as a networking space, raising awareness of pressing social issues and exploring practical applications of theory. Academics, students, professionals, and anyone interested in power dynamics, epistemic injustice, and collaborative governance are invited to join a discussion that promises to be enlightening and enriching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Antonio Delgado Baena holds a degree in Philosophy and Education Sciences, specializing in Pedagogy, from the University of Seville. He earned a master&#8217;s degree in Human Rights, Interculturality, and Development from the Pablo de Olavide University and is a university specialist in Participatory Action Research. His professional and research career has been focused on implementing community social intervention programs and projects in contexts of social exclusion from a participatory perspective. Noteworthy experiences include international cooperation projects in Paraguay in the field of Adult Education and involvement in pioneering projects such as the Participatory Budgets of Seville or the Integral Plan of the South Polygon. He has published in the field of socio-cultural animation and human rights and teaches in the Critical Foundations of Human Rights course at the Pablo de Olavide University. He is a member of the Joaqu\u00edn Herrera Flores Institute in Spain and currently a researcher at the Institute of Research on Policies for Social Transformation at Loyola Andaluc\u00eda University (IPTS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ant\u00f3nio Delgado Baena is a doctoral student in the Inclusive and Sustainable Development Program at Universidad Loyola Andaluc\u00eda and a visiting researcher at CIAC (December 2023\/March 2024) under the supervision of S\u00edlvia Leiria Viegas. In this open lecture, the speaker presents his doctoral research on participation, collaborative governance, and power dynamics in contexts of the struggle against social exclusion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The lecture will be recorded for public access in the context of the ongoing CIAC\/UAlg project: Refugee Research for (Post)Covid-19.
