The researcher points out that several examples are provided of established categories of complex films and discusses a specific case study in more detail: David Lynch&#8217;s Inland Empire (2006), which belongs to an indecipherable category of narratives that Kiss and Willemsen call \u201cimpossible puzzle films\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/ekphrasisjournal.ro\/index.php?p=artc&amp;id=1524\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/ekphrasisjournal.ro\/index.php?p=artc&amp;id=1524\">Ekphrasis<\/a><\/em>\u00a0is a semi-annual, double-blind, peer-reviewed online journal of The Faculty of Theater and Television, Babe\u0219-Bolyai University, Cluj. This journal is dedicated to interdisciplinary approaches in visual culture and publishes peer-reviewed articles from any field related to contemporary media and image-related productions. Ekphrasis concentrates both on research and theory, and on practical aspects of the related domains, focusing on cinema, media and cultural studies. We also feature book reviews and interviews, as well as practice-based approaches to arts and video arts.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CIAC researcher
