The award ceremony took place on 19th September at the French Embassy in Lisbon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The insignia was presented by H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Franaud-Delfromont, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to the Portuguese Republic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among other guests, the Rector of the University of the Algarve, Paulo \u00c1guas, the Director of the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences, Lu\u00eds S\u00e9rgio Vieira, the Mayor of Faro, Rog\u00e9rio Bacalhau, and the President of the Algarve Regional Coordination and Development Commission, Jos\u00e9 Apolin\u00e1rio, were present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This honour is awarded, according to the order, to personalities who distinguish themselves by their activity in the fields of culture and communication and by their contribution to the promotion of Arts and Letters in France and around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It should be remembered that Manuel C\u00e9lio Concei\u00e7\u00e3o had already been distinguished with the lower degree of this Order of Honour (Chevalier) in 2013.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Manuel C\u00e9lio Concei\u00e7\u00e3o&#8217;s activity, with a high international profile in research, training and knowledge transfer, is centred on the area of language sciences, particularly in the fields of linguistic and cultural diversity, multilingualism, and language policies and science communication (an area in which he coordinates a specific task in the Alliance of the European University of the Seas SEA-EU).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator alignwide has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-wide separador-mais-info\" \/>\n\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Manuel C\u00e9lio Concei\u00e7\u00e3o, a lecturer at the University of the Algarve and<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":4,"featured_media":9109,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_eb_attr":"","inline_featured_image":false,"advgb_blocks_editor_width":"","advgb_blocks_columns_visual_guide":"","footnotes":"","_links_to":"","_links_to_target":""},"categories":[61],"tags":[139],"class_list":["post-9239","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news","tag-dissemination"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 -
