CALL FOR PAPERS FOR SPECIAL ISSUE OF JOURNAL ROTURA – DEADLINE EXTENDED UNTIL 9 JANUARY

The submission period for the special issue of CIAC’s Journal  Rotura – Journal of Communication, Culture and Arts, has been extended until 9 January 2023. Under the theme “New Narratives and media literacy: strategies and experiences for cybercitizenship,” this special issue aims to provide room for dialogue about practices related to media literacy, ethics, and narratives.

The call for papers accepts works with the following fields of research: cyberspace and new forms of social interaction; new narratives, interactivity, and digital media; media literacy, strategies, experiences, social networks, and cybercitizenship; content creators in the Twenty-First Century; habits, consumption, and skills of the digital society; use of social networks as guarantors of a democratic society; and discourse, ethics, and values transmitted in social networks. Rotura welcomes papers written in Portuguese, English, Spanish, or French.

This issue will be edited by guest editors Jensy Campos Cespedes (Universidad Estatal a Distancia, Costa Rica) and Patricia de Casas Moreno (Universidad de Extremadura, Spain). The publication arises from VI Alfamed International Congress: social networks and citizenship: Cybercultures for learning which took place in Arequipa (Peru) between 26 and 28 October 2022.
