JOANA SANTOS AND JEAN-CHRISTOPHE GIGER ARE THE CIAC WEBINARS NEXT GUESTS

On the 8th of July 2022, at 2:30 pm, CIAC promotes the webinar “Perceções de (des)igualdade de género na UAlg” [Perceptions of gender (dis)equality at UAlg], with Joana Santos and Jean-Christophe Giger (University of Algarve).

The tenth edition of the CIAC Webinars aims to reflect on gender equality at UAlg, based on two studies, of a quantitative nature, developed to know the perceptions of its professionals and students.

The studies focused on organizational justice; the concern of management bodies with gender equality; and in the work-family balance culture. The samples include 183 professionals (teachers, non-teaching workers, researchers and grant holders) and 134 students from the institution, who responded to a survey between 27th November and 17th December 2021. The results show that, in most variables under analysis, female participants had lower mean values than males. These results will be discussed in this session, within the scope of promoting gender equality at UAlg.
