ARMANDO NASCIMENTO ROSA TAKES PART IN COLLOQUIUM DEDICATED TO NATÁLIA CORREIA

The Colloquium for the Centenary of Natália Correia: Philosophy, Literature and the Inter-Arts Dialogue will be held on September 18 and 19 at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Porto. CIAC researcher Armando Nascimento Rosa in one of the guest speakers.

On the second day of the colloquium, Armando Nascimento Rosa will present “Comunicação”: a resposta da feiticeira Cotovia à “Mensagem” de Pessoa.” This is an unprecedented approach that investigates the implicit dialog that Natália Correia creates in her 1959 dramatic work, “Comunicação – Auto da Feiticeira Cotovia”, with Fernando Pessoa’s 1934 book-poem “Mensagem”.

Writer-poet, essayist, translator, journalist and lecturer, Natália Correia was one of the most cultured and competent voices in Portuguese literature in the second half of the 20th century.

The Colloquium is organized by the Institute of Philosophy of the University of Porto (RG “Roots and Horizons of Philosophy and Culture in Portugal”), in partnership with the Ponta Delgada Regional Archive and the Foundation for Science and Technology.
