CIAC organises Open Class Series on Public Radio and Television Service

A series of open classes was held on November 13 and 20 at the University of the Algarve, broaching the subject “Public Radio and Television Service in Portugal – What are the paths before us”. The first session included guest speaker Eduardo Cintra Torres, while the second was attended by Arons de Carvalho and José Pacheco Pereira. The event, organised by the School of Education and Communication in conjunction with CIAC, represented the resumption of a dialogue started 10 years ago at the 1st ESE-UAlg Communication Conference, which, at the time, involved the same speakers, among others, and addressed the same theme. According to Vítor Reia-Baptista, the organiser of the event, this series marks an important step in the debate on “new proposals for the Public Radio and Television Service framework that are now starting to enter the daily agenda of the media”.
