Cycle of Visual Arts welcomes Jorge Pereira
Jorge Pereira will be the next guest speaker at the Cycle f Visual Arts 2014, which is to take place on the next 10th of April, by 5.30 pm, in Universidade do Algarve, Campus da Penha, amphitheatre 0.4.
Jorge Pereira was born in Mozambique in 1974. In 1998, he completed the Curso Superior de Escultura in ARCA, Coimbra. Since then, he developed several scenic works with different Theatre and Dance companies. He participated in several collective and individual exhibitions with installation works and painting. From 2003 till 2007, he worked with Amálgama Dance Company, doing the graphic design and video. Since 2006 he is in charge of the graphic image of LAC – Laboratório de Actividades Criativas. In 2007, alongside the writer Cristina Taquelim, he creates the illustrations for the children book “Malaquias”. In parallel, he executes works of techninal drawing for archaeology. Today he is a resident artist of LAC – Laboratório de Actividades Criativas and is a member of the Board of this Association.
