CYCLE OF SEMINARS
GARRETONLINE PROJECT MAKES AVAILABLE A CYCLE OF SEMINARS
Starting at March 30, the Garrettonline project promotes a cycle of seminars with Garrettian themes. From editing to critical comparatism, the cycle is composed of three sessions and will be broadcast online.
The first seminar, entitled “Travels through Portugal: Garrett and Saramago”, will take place on March 30, at 2:30 pm, and will be given by Helena Buescu (University of Lisbon). “Editing Garrett’s correspondence and theater”, with Sérgio Nazar David (State University of Rio de Janeiro), will take place on May 4, at 2:30pm. The cycle ends with “Editing the 19th century novel: the Garrettian case”, on October 12, at 2:30 pm, with CIAC researcher Pere Ferré.
Held within the scope of the project From the past to the future: the platform of the Portuguese expression folk balladry, the aim of this cycle is to contribute with a state of the art on Garrettian studies, namely regarding the philological edition of Garrett’s work. In addition, we intend to pay homage to José Saramago, in the year of his centenary.
GarrettOnline is a project currently developed at IELT – Institute for Literature and Tradition Studies (New University of Lisbon), under the Romanceiro.pt platform, in partnership with CIAC and the Fundación Ramón Menéndez Pidal.
Participation is free of charge, but registration is required here.
