PHD IN MEDIA-DIGITAL ART

The researcher Pedro Alves da Veiga defended last Friday evidence for obtaining a PhD in Media-Digital Art, at the Open University, with the thesis “Experience and attention: construction and constriction of digital medium-art ecosystems”. The PhD research, supervised by Professor Mirian Nogueira Tavares and Professor Heitor Alvelos, resulted in the publication of several articles accepted in international journals and conferences, as well as in various exhibitions and patents in different contexts.

The Jury, composed of Professors Maia Potes Barbas (IPSantarém), Daniel Brandão (ESAP), Nuno Correia (FCT-UNL), Álvaro Barbosa (University of São José – Macao), Heitor Alvelos (UP) and chaired by the Director of Doctorate in Media-Digital Art, Professor Adérito Fernandes Marcos, approved the work defended with Distinction and Praise.
