CIAC and ESEC promote session in the area of Media Literacy
The School of Education and Communication of Algarve University organizes, in partnership with CIAC, the session Brands and Social Networks : Collaboration, engagement and Media Literacy with the doctoral researcher Letícia Torres. The event will take place at amphitheater 0.5 of the Penha Campus Pedagogical Complex, next November 16, at 2.30 pm, within the curricular units of Media History and Media Literacy of the degree in Communication Sciences. The admission is free.
In this session, Letícia Torres will start from the analysis of the marketing communication of five brands of alcoholic beverages in social networks to share the axes of her research: interaction and engagement processes; language and advertising aesthetics; ideology, ethics and citizenship.
Letícia Torres is a professor at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF) in Brazil, where she is responsible for the disciplines of Advertising and Propaganda, Communication and Marketing. She was the coordinator of the UFJF Communication course between 2010 and 2015. At the moment, the researcher is a doctoral student in the CIAC / UAlg postgraduate program. She is part of the research group Networks, Immersive Environments and Languages, in which she participates in research projects, extension and professional training in the area of Media Literacy.
